Our services

People often don’t think of themselves as a carer, because they see the support they give as a normal part of their role as a neighbour, friend, parent, sibling, partner or child.

But if you provide unpaid care and support for someone who has an illness, disability, mental health problem, or addiction, you are a carer, and we are here to support you.

We support unpaid carers through:

  • 1-2-1 advice and support

Our friendly Advice and Support team are specialists in helping carers with the different challenges they face. Find out more.

  • Peer support coffee mornings

Our coffee mornings are an opportunity to meet other carers in a relaxed and friendly environment. Find out more.

  • Health and Wellbeing activities

From yoga to complementary therapies, our programme provides activities specifically designed to support carers.

  • Peer support for parents caring for young people under 18 run by Mencap

  • Carers Pathways

We work with a number of partner organisations across Ealing to give unpaid carers a regular break by providing interesting and meaningful activities for those they look after. Find out more.

We are also a lead provider in the Carers Pathways Consortium. This project recruits volunteer befrienders to spend time with people with a disability or health condition, so that their carers get a break for a couple of hours.

This is for people with low to moderate support needs and can be either 1-1 befriending in the home or locally or attending a group activity in a local centre. Contact CarersPathways@ealingcarers.org.uk
